Reminiscence

That gut punch of seeing a dear piece of your childhood... randomly hearing a song that you forgot existed... finding an object your grandparents used daily... these things bring back forgotten pieces of ourselves. I love to express reflection in my work. My own life inspires the choices of subject matter. Here time feels as if it's expansive and eternal yet slipping through our fingers. Reflecting on what makes the generations I have known both similar and very different gives me perspective. I hope that the viewer finds reflection in my work, and maybe a connection of their own.
