Komorebi
While taking walks during winter, I began taking photos of the intricate patterns of tree branches. I have always been inspired by the way the light shines through the leaves and branches of trees. I intuitively use the shapes of the branches and colors from my imagination to portray the light and life of the moment. After creating this peiece I happened accross the perfect word for this natural illuminated color. Komorebi is an untranslatable word, which eloquently captures the effect of sunlight streaming through the leaves of the trees. ... It is the interplay of light, shadows and leaves, and the shape of nature's wisest earthly existence – trees.
